Bipartisan Policy Center Task Force Releases HIT Report
The Bipartisan Policy Center's Task Force on Delivery System Reform and Health IT has released recommendations to improve healthcare quality and reduce costs, according to a Bipartisan Policy Center news release.The report identifies common attributes of the nation's highest performing healthcare organizations to guide smart decisions for health IT. The report also identifies barriers to achieving health IT capabilities.
Recommendations for addressing barriers include:
• Accelerating HIE efforts,
• Addressing privacy and security issues, and
• Expanding education and implementation assistance.
