Health IT vendor athenahealth joined forces with ADP, an HR management company, to offer cloud-based payroll and time and attendance services to small hospitals.
Through the partnership, athenaOne for Hospitals & Health Systems will be integrated with ADP Workforce Now. Hospitals will be able to automate their payroll processes and keep track of the number of hours employees work more accurately.
"This integration can help simplify payroll tasks like syncing employee data, processing payroll, recording and approving time sheets and issuing [W-2] Forms," said athenahealth chief product officer Kyle Armbrester. "Athenahealth has found a great partner in ADP to deliver a cloud-based payroll service to the hospital market that reduces work — a critical first step in the larger job of transforming healthcare."
