As ICD-10 looms, Office Ally offers free training to ease transition

Vancouver, Wash.-based Office Ally has announced it will offer eight free training sessions throughout July to help assist healthcare providers become acclimated with ICD-10.

ICD-10 is an international classification system of known diseases and other health problems. With twice as many categories and alphanumeric classifications, the system includes nearly 70,000 diagnostic codes, compared to 13,000 in ICD-9. The implementation date is October 1 and will effect how physicians chart, bill and receive payments.

The trainings, which will help familiarize providers with Office Ally software applications Practice Mate and EHR, are scheduled for the following dates and times.

• July 1: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EDT and 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. PDT
• July 8: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EDT and 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. PDT
• July 15: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EDT and 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. PDT
• July 22: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EDT and 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. PDT
