The American Hospital Association's subsidiary, AHA Solutions, announced Jan. 27 that it has exclusively endorsed AMC Health's Remote Patient Monitoring and Engagement Solutions.
AHA Solutions awards its endorsement to technology products that advance hospital operations. AMC Health's Remote Patient Monitoring and Engagement Solutions program, which aggregates data from hospital EHRs and other sources, uses telehealth technology to help patients with chronic conditions to manage their conditions and for patients to transfer effectively from hospitals to home. It allows hospitals to more closely track a patient's progress and intervene if necessary, and can schedule clinic appointments to avoid readmission.
Studies of AMC's system have shown a reduced readmission rate of 44 percent, said Anthony J. Burke, senior vice president of the AHA, and president and CEO of AHA Solutions, in a news release.
"AMC Health ensures organizations receive the best telehealth solutions for their unique data gathering needs," Mr. Burke said.
