4 things to know about Trainer Rx

While many apps are geared toward either providers or patients to meet certain needs, Trainer Rx seeks to serve both parties to streamline the treatment and recovery of patients who have suffered a musculoskeletal injury.

Here are four things to know about the platform.

1. The app was designed by orthopedic specialists to bolster the patient-provider relationship during injury recovery. Providers can use tools provided by Trainer Rx to achieve better patient satisfaction and improved outcomes through enhanced communication, and patients can use the platform's peer-reviewed protocols to assist them on their road to recovery.

2. On the provider side, Trainer Rx is geared toward orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, physiatrists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, emergency room physicians, urgent care physicians and chiropractors. Additionally, the platform can also be utilized by physical therapists, athletic trainers and strength and conditioning coaches.

3. On the Trainer Rx dashboard, patients set goals and track their progress toward outcome data. The information can be shared with any member of the patient's recovery team.

4. "Our decades of collective experience treating patients and athletes, up to the highest professional level, puts us in a unique position to understand the perspectives of both healthcare providers and patients," according to the Trainer Rx website. "We strive to deliver positive outcomes for everyone who suffers from a debilitating injury. We believe it's possible to get back out there — stronger and better than ever."
