S&P Global Ratings revised St. Augustine, Fla.-based Flagler Hospital's outlook to negative from stable.
"The negative outlook reflects weaker-than-expected operating results in fiscal [year] 2016…coupled with increased malpractice and risk management costs related to several cases from 2015," said S&P analyst Stephen Infranco.
S&P also affirmed the hospital's "A-" rating.
