Moody's assigns 'Aa2' rating to Duke University Health System's bonds

Moody's Investors Service has assigned an "Aa2" rating to Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System's $127 million of series 2016D bonds.

The rating assignment is based on a number of factors, including DUHS' status as a leading and nationally prominent academic medical center, strong balance sheet ratios and relationship with Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody's Investors Service's expectation that although DUHS might not sustain operating margins above expectation in fiscal years 2015 and 2016, it will continue to generate sound margins over time.
