Franciscan Healthcare-Munster begins $60M-$70M expansion

Franciscan Healthcare-Munster (Ind.) has begun a $60 million to $70 million expansion project, according to a report by The Times of Northwest Indiana.

The expansion will create more user-friendly patient rooms, a full-service emergency department and a hospital chapel, said a hospital spokesman. It will also include the addition of a helipad.

Clay Johnson, assistant town manager, told The Times of Northwest Indiana that the plans submitted by the hospital indicate that they will complete the expansion by next year, but hospital officials declined to comment, according to the report.
