For-profit hospital stock report: Week of July 10-14

Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw the greatest increase in share price at 2.4 percent.

Here is how the five operators stacked up, as of July 14.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $9.26 per share (down 1.9 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $86.64 per share (up 0.6 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $65.40 per share (down 0.08 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $19.09 per share (up 2.4 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $123.68 per share (up 1.3 percent)
