Dollar tanks after failure of latest GOP healthcare bill

Investors in Asia began dumping U.S. currency Tuesday morning after news broke that Republican lawmakers didn't have enough votes to pass the revised Better Care Reconciliation Act, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The sell-off began after two more Republican senators came out against the bill. The ICE U.S. Dollar Index fell to a 10-month low in Asian trading Tuesday.

The collapse of the BCRA suggested President Donald Trump's other top legislative priorities, such as overhauling the tax code, may also face obstacles, according to the report.
