Details on Banner Health's $86M facility in Colorado released

Phoenix-based Banner Health is set to open its $86 million Banner Fort Collins (Colo.) Medical Center April 6, according to a Coloradoan report.

The new 22-bed facility is 146,000 square feet and spread out over 28 acres. There is room for the hospital to expand to up to 144 beds in the future, according to the report.

The hospital includes two operating rooms and an emergency department and will have approximately 190 employees.

Initially, Banner Fort Collins Medical Center will be licensed as a general hospital by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The Joint Commission will likely do an accreditation survey within a few weeks of the facility opening, according to the report.
