The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has extended the deadline for its Oncology Care Model. The new deadline is June 30 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
The OCM seeks to provide higher-quality and more coordinated care at a lower cost to Medicare. Through this model, practices will enter into payment agreements that include financial and performance accountability for episodes of care surrounding chemotherapy administration to cancer patients.
