Budget impasse could leave Temple University Hospital without $19M in needed funds

Philadelphia-based Temple University Hospital will miss out on $19 million in funding if Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and state representatives can't agree on a budget by June 30, according to The Temple News.

Although Gov. Wolf has approved the health section of the budget, he vetoed other sections, leaving TUH without state appropriations.

Robert Lux, vice president and CFO of Temple University Health System, told The Temple News that the lack of funding would impact community programs at TUH and will cause negative implications with credit rating agencies.
