Friday was a good day for CMS Acting Administrator Andy Slavitt on Twitter. His team transformed the way CMS communicates policy updates — and their work did not go unnoticed.
CMS is known for dropping dense policies late on a Friday afternoon, but with the final rule for the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, the agency released the rule early Friday, with a host of press releases, fact sheets and additional resources. The CMS team even created a modern, easy-to-understand website for physicians, explaining the rule in-depth.
The approach was met with approval. Mr. Slavitt has been following along with the praise on his Twitter feed today.
Thank you. It made all the difference. As you say, more to come. https://t.co/BlgIZgKrU3
