Here are eight capital projects at hospitals and health systems that were recently announced, started or completed, beginning with the most recent.

1. Council approves Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital's $92M expansion
Downers Grove (Ill.) Village Council members voted unanimously to endorse Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital's $92-million expansion.

2. Salem Regional Medical Center plans $4.6M oncology expansion
Work will soon begin on Salem (Ohio) Regional Medical Center's 8,500-square-foot oncology department expansion.

3. Health Central expands ED
Ocoee, Fla.-based Health Central Hospital is developing a new bed tower, which will include an emergency department capacity expansion.

4. Georgia Regents Medical Center wins bid to build hospital
After battling it out with two other local hospitals, Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta was chosen by the Department of Community Health to build a new hospital in Columbia County.

5. $3.6M emergency department expansion completed at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital
Jacksonville (Fla.) Memorial Hospital completed a $3.6 million emergency department expansion project at the hospital's flagship location on University Boulevard South.

6. Oklahoma pediatric hospital plans $30 million expansion
The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital, based in Bethany, Okla., plans to build a $30 million expansion to add 40 beds and triple its education and training space.

7. Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic expand campus plans

Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic announced their health education collaboration and state-of-the-art unified campus will expand by roughly 300,000 square feet to include dental and nursing students.

8. Temecula Valley Hospital expands ED
Temecula (Calif.) Valley Hospital now has 21 emergency department beds, up from 13 beds before its expansion.
