Here are five recently announced or started capital projects at hospitals and health systems during the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Good Shepherd Begins Construction on New Entrance, Part of $247M Project
Part of a $247 million project, Barrington, Ill.-based Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital began work on its new main entrance.

2. Construction on $108M Methodist Dallas Patient Tower Nearly Complete
The construction of the six-story Charles A. Sammons Trauma and Critical Care Tower at Methodist Dallas Medical Center is almost complete.

3. Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Opens Medical Pavilion, Part of $94M Expansion
Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas (Calif.) announced the opening of the Leichtag Foundation Critical Care Pavilion, the centerpiece of its $94 million second phase of expansion. 

4. St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Illinois Plans Replacement Hospital
St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill., has plans to build a replacement hospital. 

5. Saint Agnes Hospital Plans $6M-$6.5M Healthcare Center
Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore is planning to convert a former shopping center into a new healthcare center, costing between $6 million and $6.5 million.
