5 healthcare CFOs in the headlines this week

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news this past week.

1. Brian A. Kane, senior vice president and CFO at Humana, was in the news this week discussing his company's financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2015.

2. Wade Sturgeon was in the news this week as he resigned as interim CFO of Bear Valley Community Healthcare District in Big Bear Lake, Calif.

3. Roy Payawal, the former CFO of Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago, was in the news this week as he was sentenced to one year in prison for his role in a kickback scheme.

4. Matt Love, CFO of Mercy Health in Cincinnati, was in the news this week discussing the effects of the Affordable Care Act on his health system.

5. Michelle Coullahan was in the news this week as she was named CFO of Wakefield, Mass.-based VNA Middlesex-East, a home health and hospice provider and affiliate of Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health.
