Here are five healthcare industry CFOs who were in the news this past week.

1. George Sprinkel was in the news as he was named CFO of George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

2. Standpoint, Idaho-based Bonner General Health's former CFO, Norilina Harvel, was in the news as she turned herself in for arrest. Ms. Harvel is accused of embezzling approximately $225,000 from Bonner General.

3. Chicago-based Allscripts CFO Rick Poulton was in the news as he was named president of the company.

4. Kristi Matus, executive vice president, CFO and chief administrative officer of athenahealth, was in the news offering tips for other healthcare leaders.

5. Carl Flanagan was in the news as he was named CFO of La Paz Regional Hospital in Parker, Ariz.
