UPMC plans for new hospital move forward

Pittsburgh-based UPMC is one step closer to building a new hospital in Pennsylvania's South Fayette Township, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report.

The hospital would be part of a medical complex that received approval this week from the township's planning commission, according to the report. The hospital would include an emergency room as well as medical offices.

UPMC's project must still gain approval from the township's board of commissioners, according to the report.
