Lovelace Medical Group to open new clinical facility

The Lovelace Medical Group — an arm of the Albuquerque, N.M.-based Lovelace Health System — will open a two-story clinic in Albuquerque April 17.

The clinic — Lovelace Medical Group Independence Square — is a state-of-the-art, 43,200 square-foot primary care office designed to promote efficient operations and an outstanding patient experience in an environmentally conscious space. The building is outfitted with 320 solar panels and a water system designed to mitigate overuse.

"The Independence Square clinic provides a friendly and inviting space that makes patients feel comfortable in an environment that could otherwise be stressful or sterile-feeling," said John Cruickshank, DO, CEO of Lovelace Medical Group, in an emailed press release. "This new clinic represents our latest approach to providing the best possible healthcare to our patient constituency, with design choices made based on the latest best practices in healthcare design focused around the wellbeing of both patients and staff. We are very pleased to be offering care in this new space, and are excited at the technological possibilities that the new clinic can provide."
