Inspira Health Network proposes $349M hospital

Woodbury, N.J.-based Inspira Health Network has proposed plans to build a 210-bed, $349 million hospital to replace its current Woodbury facility, according to NJ.com.

The hospital is currently working through the certificate of need process with the state Department of Health, but it hopes to break ground in the second quarter of 2017 with a slated opening date of September 2019.

The new 465,000-square-foot hospital will be known as Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill.

It will include many advanced amenities, such as private patient rooms, smart technology, an expanded maternity ward with Jacuzzi tubs to help manage mothers' pain during delivery and emergency room design intended to reduce waiting time, according to the report. Hundreds of Inspira staffers provided input for the hospital's design.
