New Hampshire AG Starts Review of Non-Profit Hospital CEO Pay

New Hampshire Attorney General Michael Delaney has started his review of compensation paid to leaders of the state's 24 non-profit hospitals, according to a Union Leader report.

A.G. Delaney announced his intention to review the compensation last year, when he noted that the compensation paid to Catholic Medical Center president and CEO Alyson Pitman Giles had more than doubled to $1.36 million over four years.

Associate Attorney General Anne Edwards will oversee the attorney general's review. The office sent requests for surveys of executive compensation by outside consulting companies to all 24 hospitals and has received responses from each one.

According to the report, salaries for the non-profit hospital CEOs range from approximately $125,000 to more than $1 million.
