Four healthcare jobs made Glassdoor's top 25 list of highest paying in-demand jobs.
The report is based on active job listings on Glassdoor's website in the top 50th percentile for number of job openings per job title, with a minimum of 75 salary reports from U.S. employees.
Physician topped the list as the highest paying, most in-demand job with an average base salary of $212,270 and nearly 8,000 job openings. Pharmacy managers hold the No. 2 spot, with an average base salary of $131,099 and 1,787 openings. Pharmacists ranked No. 11, bringing in an average base salary of $114,715 and offering 9,160 jobs on Glassdoor.
Physician assistants ranked No. 13, lowest of all the healthcare jobs, for the slightly lower average salary of $110,871. However, the site reports 43,678 job openings in the field — offering the most job openings of any position on the list, second only to software engineers.
