California's Grossmont Healthcare CEO Sees $20K Raise For Increase in Duties

Barry Jantz, CEO of Grossmont Healthcare District in La Mesa, Calif., will see his annual salary increase by nearly a $23,000 to approximately $206,000 in Dec. 2012 due to a unanimous action by the district's board of directors, according to a La Mesa Patch report.

At the same meeting, the board rejected funding for more than a dozen community groups, according to the report. A Grossmont representative said the community grants program budgeted has been expended for this year.

Mr. Jantz has been CEO of the district overseeing the 536-bed Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa since 2004. His raise in salary is the result of his increase in duties, according to the report.
