UnitedHealthcare, Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin expand ACO

Brookfield-based Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin and UnitedHealthcare announced plans Thursday to expand accountable care services to 30,000 Medicare Advantage beneficiaries.

This agreement expands on a previous ACO formed between the two organizations in 2013 for beneficiaries with employer-sponsored plans. UnitedHealthcare added AARP MedicareComplete Medicare Advantage plans to the ACO in January 2015. The expanded agreement will enhance UnitedHealthcare's population health management services to more patients at IHN.

IHN includes 45 hospitals and more than 5,700 physicians. It is one of 250 ACOs UnitedHealthcare committed to launching in 2015, and one of UnitedHealthcare's 520 active ACOs.
