Number of CPSI Rural ACO charter members exceeds 50: 3 things to know

Health IT vendor CPSI's Rural ACO program is generating interest from an array of healthcare facilities.

Here are three things to know.

1. CPSI's Rural ACO program is made possible through a partnership with Caravan Health, a population health management firm.

2. As of Tuesday, more than 50 healthcare facilities had signed letters of intent to become charter members of the CPSI Rural ACO Program, according to a news release. Additionally, more than 100 other facilities have shown interest in membership.

3. "We believe this program will help small, rural communities in their drive to manage the health of their populations through value-based care," Boyd Douglas, president and CEO of CPSI, said in the release. "We are excited about partnering with community healthcare leaders and providers and providing a best-practice, highly engaged process that supports each community."
