HackensackAlliance expands ACO to 10k Aetna members

Aetna and HackensackAlliance ACO in Hackensack, N.J., announced Wednesday the launch of a new accountable care agreement to expand coordinated care to more than 10,000 Aetna members, effective April 1.

HackensackAlliance ACO includes 575 physicians and other care providers who will use data from Aetna to help improve care and health for patients and lower costs. Nurse case managers from Aetna will help coordinate patient care with the ACO.

Hackensack University Health Network and Aetna have an existing partnership as part of Aetna's Medicare NNJ Prime Plan, which is a Medicare Advantage plan with no premium that aims to provide members with collaborative, preventive care.
