Six health systems in Michigan agreed to integrate their care networks and collaborate on best practices by launching a clinically integrated network, according to MiBiz.
The following six systems agreed to participate.
- Lakeland HealthCare (St. Joseph, Mich.).
- Bronson Healthcare Group (Kalamazoo, Mich.).
- Sparrow Health System (Lansing, Mich.).
- Allegiance Health (Jackson, Mich).
- Covenant HealthCare (Saginaw, Mich.).
- MidMichigan Health (Midland).
A 12-member board of physicians and CEOs has been appointed to oversee the CIN. The partners will now recruit and hire a CEO for the network, according to the report.
"We feel strongly that we can do that most efficiently and most effectively by working together," Loren Hamel, president and CEO of Lakeland HealthCare, told MiBiz. "Every organization has opportunities where it can learn and every organization has opportunities where it can teach, and we have put together a group of what we believe are high-value health systems that are willing to learn and willing to teach."
