11 providers form ACO in Maine

A collective of 11 healthcare organizations based in Maine are teaming up to form an accountable care organization called Community Care Partnership of Maine, according to WLBZ 2 news.

The statewide network aims to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, as well as improve care coordination, according to the report.

The following organizations are participating in the collective:

  • Cary Medical Center (Caribou, Maine)
  • DFD Russell Medical Centers (Leeds, Monmouth and Turner, Maine)
  • Katahdin Valley Health Center (Patten, Maine)
  • Mayo Regional Hospital (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine)
  • Millinocket (Maine) Regional Hospital
  • Nasson Health Care (Springvale, Maine)
  • Penobscot Community Health Care (Bangor, Maine)
  • Pines Health Services (Caribou, Maine)
  • Portland (Maine) Community Health Center
  • Sebasticook Family Doctors (Newport, Maine)
  • Saint Joseph Healthcare (Bangor, Maine)

The group expects to add more partners in the future, according to WLBZ 2.
