In February, the hospital announced plans to construct an $18 million health and wellness center — the first of its kind in the Bayou Region.

Venice (Fla.) Regional Medical Center. Approximately 75 miles south of Tampa, Fla., Venice Regional Medical requires on-staff physicians to be either board-certified or eligible for board certification. Four Venice physicians and a local entrepreneur opened the hospital in 1951. Sixty years later, the 312-bed hospital has received recognition for its state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive service lines. Venice Regional has introduced the da Vinci Si Surgical System in its operating rooms, the hospital's comprehensive cardiac program was the first in the region to acquire groundbreaking cardiovascular imaging equipment and its orthopedics and neurosurgery department also offers MAKOplasty system for partial knee resurfacing.

Woodwinds Health Campus (Woodbury, Minn.).
Woodwinds Health Campus opened its doors in 2000 and remains the only hospital in the southeast metro area of Woodbury. The 86-bed hospital is partnered with Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, widening its scope of care to primary and specialty services for children and adults. In the past, Woodwinds has been named one of Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals and has received acclaim as one of the most beautiful hospitals in the country. The Woodwinds campus has been expanded with the recent opening of its HealthEast Cancer Care Clinic, which offers chemotherapy, genetic counseling and oncology services.

Wooster (Ohio) Community Hospital. Nearly 35 miles outside of Akron, Ohio, Wooster Community Hospital has been serving the community for more than 50 years. The 150-bed hospital has a medical staff of more than 100 physicians and offers a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services, such as a wound healing center, cancer program and women's health services. Wooster Community Hospital has been named one of Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals three times. The hospital's $2.2 million dollar expansion project — including a new physician space, renovated patient tower and an expanded health and wellness center — is expected to be completed within the next few months.
