Steven Safyer, MD. President and CEO of Montefiore Medical Center (New York City). Dr. Safyer has led Montefiore Medical Center, an academic health system in New York City, since 2008. Prior to becoming president and CEO of Montefiore, he served in various leadership roles within the organization, including senior vice president and CMO from 1998 until 2008. Under his leadership, Montefiore has become a network of 10 hospitals, including the Children 's Hospital at Montefiore and Burke, a specialized rehabilitation hospital, plus more than 200 ambulatory care centers in the Bronx and the Hudson Valley.

Paul Ramsey, MD. CEO of UW Medicine (Seattle). Dr. Ramsey heads UW Medicine, which includes the UW School of Medicine, four hospitals, a network of primary care clinics, a large physician practice plan and a fixed wing and helicopter air ambulance service. In addition to his role as CEO, he is executive vice president for medical affairs and dean of the school of medicine at the University of Washington. He has served as the senior executive leader of UW Medicine for nearly 20 years.
