Nancy Howell Agee. President and CEO of Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, Va.). Ms. Agee was named president and CEO of Carilion Clinic in 2011 after serving as executive vice president and COO since 2001. Her healthcare career spans 40 years, having entered the field of nursing in the early 1970s and serving in various management roles over the subsequent years. Ms. Agee supports many professional and community activities. In July, she was appointed chairwoman-elect of the American Hospital Association, effective in 2018. She has also held board positions with The Joint Commission, Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and the Virginia Center for Health Innovation, among others.
