Kate Walsh. President and CEO of Boston Medical Center. Ms. Walsh has been president and CEO of BMC for six years. She brings a wealth of experience in healthcare administration to the job. Her prior roles include executive vice president and COO of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston; COO of Cambridge, Mass.-based Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, the innovation and research arm of pharmaceutical company Novartis; senior vice president of medical services and the cancer center at Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital; and a number of positions she took at New York City hospitals after finishing graduate school. Ms. Walsh received her bachelor's and master's in public health from Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
