Ronald DePinho | 110 Physician Leaders to Know 2016

Ronald DePinho, MD. President of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston). Prior to his appointment as president of MD Anderson Cancer Center in September 2011, Dr. DePinho spent 14 years at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston where he served as founding director of the Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science. He was a genetics professor in the department of medicine at Harvard University School of Medicine in Boston and an American Cancer Society research professor and has also held numerous faculty positions at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he was the Feinberg Senior Scholar in Cancer Research. Dr. DePinho sat on the board of directors of the American Association for Cancer Research, co-founded numerous biotech companies and is internationally recognized for his contributions to basic and translational research in cancer, aging and age-associated degenerative disorders.
