Christiana Hospital (Newark, Del.). Christiana Hospital is part of the Christiana Care Health System, where surgeons perform more than 2,000 total hip and knee replacements annually. The 913-bed hospital hosts Delaware's only Level I trauma center, and it is the only trauma center between Baltimore and Philadelphia. CareChex ranked Christiana Hospital No. 6 in the country for major orthopedic surgery for 2017, and the Magnet-accredited hospital was also rated as high performing in hip and knee replacement this year by U.S. News & World Report.
