Duke University Hospital (Durham, N.C.). U.S. News & World Report ranked Duke University Hospital No. 27 in the nation for neurology and neurosurgery in its 2015-16 rankings. Duke's Department of Neurosurgery has a staff of 13 neurosurgeons and shares a floor in Duke University Hospital with the Department of Neurology. The neurosurgery department houses several multidisciplinary programs, including a Spine Center. Duke's spine surgery program has been recognized nationally, as CareChex ranked the hospital in the top 50 nationally for spine surgery in its most recent rankings, and the hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery.
