Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Langone Medical Center (New York City).

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases traces its origins to the 20th century, when the hospital opened in 1906 as the Jewish Hospital for Deformities and Joint Diseases. In addition to medical services, the center today features a functional testing laboratory and sports performance center. The orthopedics department is an integral component of Center of Excellence on Musculoskeletal Disease, a multidisciplinary effort with the department of rheumatology that promotes translational and clinical science efforts. NYU Langone was named one of the top 50 hospitals in the United States for orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report, and the hospital has also received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
