Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston). Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a teaching hospital of Boston-based Harvard Medical School, which allows Beth Israel patients access to innovative cancer therapies. The American Society of Clinical Oncology named the Cancer Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center a Quality Oncology Practice Initiative-certified facility. In 2015, the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer awarded Beth Israel its Outstanding Achievement Award. The cancer center at Beth Israel is designated by the BlueCross BlueShield Association as a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers.
