University of Maryland Medical Center (Baltimore). The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center received Cancer Center designation from the National Cancer Institute in 2008 and earned Comprehensive Cancer Center status in May. U.S. News & World Report has ranked cancer care at UM Medical Center among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for 2016-17. The hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers.
