Robert Phillips, MD, PhD. Executive Vice President, CMO and Specialty Physician Group President and CEO of Houston Methodist. Dr. Phillips is a professor of cardiology at the Houston Methodist Institute for Academic Medicine in addition to his various leadership roles at Houston Methodist. He has a special interest in hypertension and cardiovascular disease and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Heart Association and American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Phillips also is founding president of the American Population Health Society. He earned a combined a medical degree and doctorate in molecular biology from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
